Another big milestone for Google and Android. The company is activating 700,000 devices per day.
That gives it a run rate of 255.5 million Android devices annually. Its impressive, but its actually lagging estimates for Apples iOS.
In Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munsters bull case for Apple in 2013, he sees the company selling 260 million iOS devices (iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch).
